Barber Apprentice License

A Barber Apprentice License allows an individual to work and train under the supervision of a licensed barber. This license is issued by the New York State Department of State (NYSDOS).

A Barber Apprentice must be sponsored by someone licensed as a Master Barber.

The completion of two years as a licensed Barber Apprentice qualifies the holder for a Master Barber License. Click the following link to learn more about the Master Barber License.
