If you have applied for Aadhaar card and haven't received the Aadhaar card number yet, you can check the status of your Aadhaar application on the official website of UIDAI. You can also check your Aadhaar card status through SMS. Both the options are mentioned below.
Apply for Aadhaar card
Here is a tep-by-step guide which you can follow to check your Aadhaar application status online:
1) Visit the UIDAI portal - https://uidai.gov.in/ and click onn the "Check Aadhaar Status" given under the "Aadhaar Online Services" tab.
2) Once you click, it will redirect you to Aadhaar tracking page where you can check if your Aadhaar is generated or not
3) Enter all the required details such as Enrolment ID, date and security code shown in the box.
4) Click on the "Check Status" button
Check Aadhaar status via SMS
You can also check your Aadhaar number status via SMS. All you need to do is to go to the UIDAI website and enter the enrolment number, the date and time of the appointment and the registered mobile number. But for this, your mobile number should be registered with the website.
Lost Aadhaar enrolment ID?
You can still check your Aadhaar card status. Follow these steps:
1) Go to the UIDAI website and click on the "Find UID/EID" link
2) Once you click, it will redirect to a new page which asks whether you would like to receive your lost Aadhaar Number or lost Enrolment Number
3) Once you select the required option, enter personal details such as name, registered email ID, registered mobile phone number and the security code shown in the box.
4) Once details are filed, click on the "Get OTP" button
5) Once OTP is received, enter it in the "Enter OTP" space and click the "Verify OTP" button
You will soon receive your Aadhaar Enrolment Number either by email or on your registered phone number as a text SMS.
